Noboribets Hot Springs
Noboribets Hot Springs best represent Hokkaido. In this area, ten thousand tons hot water gushes out every day, which is the biggest amount in Hokkaido. There are 11 different kinds of mineral-saturated hot water baths, which are of world class value. The well-known Hell Valley located in this area is a huge volcano site. Its scenery is as spectacular as hell.
LakeToya Hot Springs
Located at the center of Lake Toya National Park, Lake Toya is a 45 kilometers around volcanic lake. The springs are just at the foot of the still smoky Mt. Usu and Mt. Showa Shinzan. Most hot spring hotels and open air locations in this area are built beside the lake so that you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the cobalt-blue lake and magnificent mountains while experiencing the fun of hot spring baths.

Jozankei Hot Springs
Jozankei Hot Springs, known as "Sapporo's inner room", are located at the outskirts of Sapporo. The springs were discovered by the monk Jozan when he saw a wild deer treated its wound using the hot spring water. The springs were then named after the discoverer. Kappa is the symbol of Jozankei, where lovely statues of Kappa are seen in every main and minor street.
Jozankei Hot Spring Street has been a famous hot spring resort since long ago. The natural splendor here produces a distinct air in each season and maples are exhibiting great lots of looks and stances. The maple leaves in October are especially famous, listed as No.1 of Japan. |
